As I was reading the scriptures this morning, I came across a passage that really concerned and alarmed my heart - as it is rarely taught - though it is clearly laid out in the Bible and especially in the book of Hebrews chapter 10. which I want us to look at.

It is concerning those that have actually received the Lord at one point - but then turn back from following and believing in Him. (or said a prayer with their mouth, but never actually believed in their heart or followed Christ to know Him and continued living a sinful life by willful choice) I know a few people clearly in this category and am praying for them, hoping that they will read this. But my opinion means nothing except that it lines up with God’s word - so I will print it below so you can read for yourself in God’s inspired Word. (I have printed two different versions for clarities sake)

Hebrews 10:26-31 (KJV)   For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hebrews 10:26-31 (Living Bible)  If anyone sins deliberately by rejecting the Savior after knowing the truth of forgiveness, this sin is not covered by Christ’s death; there is no way to get rid of it.  There will be nothing to look forward to but the terrible punishment of God’s awful anger, which will consume all his enemies.  A man who refused to obey the laws given by Moses was killed without mercy if there were two or three witnesses to his sin.  Think how much more terrible the punishment will be for those who have trampled underfoot the Son of God and treated his cleansing blood as though it were common and unhallowed, and insulted and outraged the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to his people.
For we know him who said, “Justice belongs to me; I will repay them”; who also said, “The Lord himself will handle these cases.”  It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Now if this is you, or you think possibly you and it concerns you - their is so much hope. It is indeed Jesus that caused you to read this. It is now you have a chance to repent and turn from your sinful ways - reject that life and follow Him.

Let me now put more from Hebrews 10 and point something out.

Hebrews 10: 32,33   But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

If you at one point prayed a “sinner’s prayer” - but never experienced a change in your life or heart. Never any persecutions or rejections because you are not ashamed of Christ. If you just did this for fear of hell and looking for fire insurance - I would ask yourself….is there any fruit in my life that I was born again? If your prayer and surrendering to Christ was not of the heart, there may be a problem. As John the Baptist said to the pharisees in Luke 3:7,8…..Oh generation of vipers, who told you to flee the wrath that is to come, bring forth fruits of repentance….
While this is John speaking to the unbelieving Jews…there is a principal here. There should be fruits of repentance in every believers life. A change of some kind should be visible - even if small at first - it should grow with time. If there was absolutely no change in your life - like feeling convicted when you continued in your old sin. You may not be in a good place with God. The remedy? Call on His name while He can be found. Isaiah 55:6
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:

Don’t wait another minute, loved one!!! Hit your knees now and ask forgiveness and for God to give you the power to forsake your sins and addictions. He will help you with it all. God is for us not against us. (romans 8:31)

We are saved by faith in the work of Jesus and not by works lest any man should boast…..the word clearly says this. But we cannot leave off the rest of God’s instructions to flee sin. God sees our hearts - His grace is available to carry you all the way to freedom and He is patient as long as you are not blowing His instructions off.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.

I am afraid in the deceptive era of “seeker sensitive churches” of which I myself had to repent to being a part of…..many, many were led to believe a watered down gospel and did not continue on to search the scriptures and follow Christ and seek His face to know Him.

The scariest scripture in the Bible is this: Matthew 7:22-24 “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:”

I am not writing this from any other place than love and a deep concern for our fellow man. I want to see everyone make it to heaven. We seem to not dwell on the fact that there are people that will not make heaven and either go to hell or to the place of weeping and gnashing of teeth with the hypocrites.

Let us all pray for our own hearts and be attentive to our internal condition and to pray for all those we love and that God has placed in our lives.

God IS LOVE! That is why He reaches out to all mankind and why the whole earth is full of His glory and creation is evidence enough of His existance. But we must all know that this age will come to an end and the door for repentance will close. Also, our deaths which can come unexpectedly.

Much love from all my heart.

A voice crying in the wilderness - prepare ye the way of the Lord. He is coming again!!!

John 3:3-8 “ Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Notice Jesus words…what is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of Spirit is spirit. You have already been born of flesh. It is your spirit that needs to be born again.

Ezekiel 36:26-27
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.  I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.”

2 Corinthians 5:17-18 “ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.  Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ…”

The Bible tells us that we need to be born again. Then He explains why…

Romans 3:23 “… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

Romans 6:23 “ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We are all born in the image of God. (Genesis) But when Adam and Eve fell and succumbed to satan’s temptation, they yielded their authority to him and spiritual death took place. The perfect garden and life God planned got messed up. But immediately God had a solution to undo the damage that was done, but it was costly to Him. The price was to send His Son as a perfect sacrifice to bring us back into a “born again” state if we would believe and accept what Jesus did for us on the cross.

Romans 10:9-10 “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Romans 10:13 “ For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

What God has done is a free gift and cannot be earned.

Ephesians 2:8-9 “ For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,  not of works, lest anyone should boast.”

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

So we see that:

1. We must be born again.
2. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
3. Salvation is a free gift purchased by the work of Jesus Christ
4. Invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior and repent of your sins

Prayer is simply talking to God. He is listening. All the time. And He eagerly awaits for you to call on Him. When you do and ask Him to be your Lord and Savior and to forgive you for your sins –  you enter into a relationship with Him and you are born again. You may not feel it immediately because it happens in your spirit. The core of your being. But as you continue to seek Him. Read His Words.  Pray/ talk to Him and listen. You will begin to grow.

We are a spirit. With a soul (which is our mind, will, and emotions), and we live in a body. You have now begun an exciting journey to know the Lord and to discover what your purpose in life is. What did He have in mind when He made you? There is nothing more fulfilling than to know God and to know your destiny.

You are now a child of God if you accepted Him and prayed that prayer.  Your name was written in the Lamb’s Book of Life!  (Revelation 21:27) You are a part of His eternal family forever.  So press in to know Him.  All you do here will echo into eternity.  You are here for a reason and a purpose.

Read your Bible daily.  It is the Bread of Life and has answers about the kingdom of God. Seek it like treasure. Life following after Christ is far from boring as you will find in all of my free videos.  ( Youtube Channel – Passing The Torch – with Jean Chamblee )   They are there to help you learn and grow in spiritual things.

Matthew 7:7
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”

Hebrews 13:5   “For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all on your side!  Romans 8:31  “If God is for us, who can be against us?”   He is right there with you.

God bless you on your journey!  Life in Christ is awesome!  You were born on purpose. You have a destiny!  You are precious to God and worth the price that He paid. He decided a long time ago that you were worth it!  You are valued in His sight more than you know.

Blessings on your journey,     Jean

Matthew 13:36-43 ” Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Romans 5: 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

You don’t have to be a tare…..if you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, repent of your sins (turn away from them with His help and power) and follow Him. He accepts you just as you are…..then the journey begins.

Romans 10:9-13    …..  that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.  For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

A CLEAN SLATE

June 5, 2014

Painful past
Mistakes made
Can’t change
The path was laid

Ironclad grip
Pulling down
Crying out
In tears drowned

Spinning round
A sinking ship
Life’s a mess
Can’t get a grip

What if there
Was really a way
A gift for you
A completely clean slate

If you can get past
Prejudices made
Open your mind
The price was paid

Forget religion
Not what it’s about
Embrace the Truth
That will let you cry out

Forget the steeple
The Easter parade
Jesus is deep
It’s no charade

The blood He shed
Is no laughing matter
Such a shame He’s been treated
With a light hearted manner

Love so deep
Heart so good
He gave it for you
He shed His own blood

So you could have
Another chance
Get free from your past
Set free to dance

Dance a new life
Leave the old behind
Take hold of His hand
He will take off the blinds

That’s right it’s a kick
Jesus is the Way
You’ve heard it all along
Thought it was a cliche’

Don’t need to be religious
To talk to the One
That loves you so much
Had me write this sweet poem

So guess what precious one?
He’s waiting on you
To give a clean slate
Start your life brand new

OUR NEED FOR A SAVIOR

June 5, 2014

You have not found your way here by accident.  God has a special plan for your life and we have simply been brought across your path to help you on your journey to know Him. What an awesome thing to come into a relationship with your Creator.  This could be your day!  Below is a simple explanation from the scriptures on why we all need a Savior and how we are actually put on this earth and “created” with a hunger in our hearts to know the One that made us.

Let’s start with what the Bible says about our need for a Savior… Romans 3:23 says for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

That is all of us. None of us is without sin. We have all done things that our consciences have told us not to do, right? We have all violated that inner voice that tells us right from wrong. In a way that is good news! Because salvation is not something we can earn or attain to. Not a position we can ascend to. It is a FREE gift. Purchased by Jesus Christ when he shed his blood on the cross.

He alone as the Son of God lived a perfect life and could be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. And what love He had for us that He was willing to do that on our behalf. A crime (sin) was committed and a holy God must satisfy justice. The beauty of it all is that He knew we could not do that ourselves and He chose to send His own Son as a sacrifice to pay the price for us.

John 3:16 says… For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. WHOEVER believes. God does not discriminate. His gift is for us all. It is up to us to choose. You don’t have to “get cleaned up” before you come to Christ. Only He has the power to make you a new creation. It’s not something you can do on your own.

Romans 10: 9, 10… If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

That is just the beginning. A real relationship with Him is possible. An intimate place with Him for those who seek Him with all their hearts.    Jeremiah 29:13 says…”
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Think of it…you can know your Creator. He made you because He wants you. God created us because He wanted a family. Amazing! Are you ready to get started?

Prayer is simply talking to God. Nothing fancy.

Here is an example of a salvation prayer:    “God I believe you are real, I see your creation and something inside me tells me there is a reason you made me. I ask you to come into my heart, come into my life, and show me who You are. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Forgive me for the many sins I have committed and help me to walk and live in a new way. I want to know you. I invite you to be my Lord and Savior. Help me to grow into a loving relationship with You. Help me to know Your ways. Open my eyes so that I can know You.” Amen.

He is Lord and He cares about all of your life, your joys, and your pains. He created you to be with Him; a part of Him. There is a rich relationship with God in front of you as you continue to seek to know Him more.  You are greatly loved!    Hebrews 13:5  “For Jesus has said,  “I will never leave you nor forsake you”.   You need never feel alone again!  Welcome to the Family!

Our Need For A Savior

Romans 3:23 says for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

That is all of us. None of us is without sin. We have all done things that our consciences have told us not to do. Whether you have ever been to church or not. We have all violated that inner voice that tells us right from wrong.

In a way that is good news. Because salvation is not something we can earn or attain to. Not a position we can ascend to. It is a FREE gift. Purchased by Jesus Christ when he shed his blood on the cross. He alone as the Son of God lived a perfect life and could be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. WHOEVER believes. God does not discriminate. His gift is for us all. It is up to us to choose.

Romans 10: 9, 10 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

That is just the beginning. A real relationship with Him is possible. An intimate place with Him for those who seek Him with all their hearts.

God I believe you are real, I see your creation and something inside me tells me there is a reason you made me. I ask you to come into my heart, come into my life, come into my mind and show me who You are. I want to know you. I invite you to be my Lord and Savior. Help me to grow into a loving relationship with You. Help me to know Your ways. I want to enjoy getting to know you. I invite you to be a part of my life! Forgive my sins and give me a new start Speak to me and teach me to hear you.

Amen.

Simple just speak your heart anyway you like. He is Lord he also cares about all of your life and your joys and pains. He created you to be with Him a part of Him. Enjoy the journey my friend.

If I can help you in anyway let me know.
