Prayer

Matthew 6:5-14 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
“This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

The wonder of a sweet, sweet heart
Is there for God to see
You think you’ve got it all messed up
But I’ve got news for thee

All the little things you do
The ways that your heart cares
Does not go without a nod from God
Please know that He’s aware

We focus on the screw-ups
And think that’s all there is
God does not see us that way
Especially when we are His

He sees us as His children
His love will not depart
As long as we stay close to Him
He will reveal His heart

God sees things so differently
Than we see things ourselves
He looks with love upon us
We’re never on the shelf

He actively awaits us
To turn our thoughts to Him
To come into His presence
So He can help us win

He takes such joy in watching
Our journey on the earth
I guarantee that you are more
Than what you think you’re worth

It’s times we focus on Him
And try to do His will
That shines like light before Him
We can continue still

So if you’ve royally blown it
Like I’ve done time and again
Don’t let that keep you from Him
Just start your walk again

Come into His presence
As you lie upon your bed
Start the conversation
Read the words He’s said

Know that God, He loves you
Like you’ve never been loved before
Let your sins be washed away
He’s waiting at the door

How simple is  “I’m sorry”
To come between your lips
Then you can start the dance again
Your past it will eclipse

You are loved more than I can say
Dare to make amends
Dare to believe what I have said
Come to Him again

A BRAND NEW DAY

November 9, 2016

Thank you Lord for another day!

Our Job Has Just Begun….May We Never Disengage From Our Prayers For This Nation Again…..May We Never Stop Heartfelt DAILY Prayers For This Government And Nation!!! May We Never Step Back From Our Involvement In Our Countries Affairs. It Matters!

1 Timothy ” Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,”

I pray that many good people will rise up and get involved in politics, civic activities, school boards, academia, arts and film….  on and on.  A Christian’s place is not just in the 4 walls of a church….we need to be in places of influence…..forces for good!    God bless you and God bless America!

JESUS CHRIST IS LORD!!! AND I’M SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!

“It is finished” He said on the cross…..our debt has been paid!! Nothing that happens in this life can compare to the awesomeness of heaven. “Call on the name of the Lord” “Draw near to Him” He loves you… Don’t miss out on His gift to us……. You are greatly loved.

Give yourself to Him and be His bride for all eternity! He will always be faithful! Nothing we give up here to follow Him will ever compare.

Romans 10: 8-13   “But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Are you a “whoever”?  He’s just waiting for your invitation!  Don’t delay!!  Please!!  I want you to be there…..in heaven too!

Love to you,     Jean

I do believe that because for the most part, (and there are certainly exceptions) Americans have failed to “wake up” to the warnings and dealings of God, that another wave of calamity will be sent, perhaps terrorism again or war on our own soil as the article below alludes to. Or economic collapse or even something else…God knows. It has been so puzzling to me how the churches, at this most critical time in history, have failed to come together in fasting, prayer, and a unified voice before God. But have continued with “business as usual” in a time that has been anything but usual. I have to count myself in that number and ask God’s forgiveness….. I pray that we each wake up as individuals and that our leaders will understand the hour we live in and pray like never before and act and speak as God leads without fear and without regard to losing a few offended congregants. In HItler’s Germany…..many of the churches were guilty of hearing the trains go by with screaming Jews heading to their death…..and to their shame…..they, instead of prayer and intervention, stood up and sang their Hymns a little louder to drown out the cries of the Jews. Are we guilty of the same? Christian brothers and sisters also being slaughtered along with innocents of all kind and evil is prevailing. Maybe when it hits our shores… will we do what we should have been doing all along? It breaks my heart because it could have been stopped by putting down the games we play and luxuries we indulge in and truly engaged in spiritual warfare together….. I hope you will read the article below and realize just how close this is…. I pray that each reader will take this to heart and to prayer…God is always listening. May He find us each on the right side of His will….

A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

“I’m just one person, what can I do to to change things in America?” we may find ourselves saying. Here are a few practical ideas…..

1.Pray fervently with all your heart
2. Pray in agreement with a spouse, friend, another believer etc.
3. Pray for the Pastors in your area by name; asking God to put on their hearts to come together in unity and lead their congregations in prayer for America.
4. Be aware….pay attention to the news and…..yes, pray!
5. Contact your congressmen and representatives and give them a word of encouragement to fight the good fight and do what is best for America. Everyone needs encouragement and yours may be the very one to spur them on. They have MUCH against them.
6. Contacting is easy……just google for the names of your areas elected representatives and send them an encouraging email. They each have a site to receive from their constituents and they want to hear what you are thinking. You can put them on your facebook so that you can keep up with what they are doing…..and since we are ON facebook alot….it makes it easier to keep up with things.
7. Speak up as you feel God leading you. Most people are in the dark because our main stream media limits what they share. Sometimes just sharing the 411 can change things.
8. Rejoice …..God is in control and because you are aware….you will not be caught by surprise. Jesus Christ came to earth in dark days….when His people were under Roman oppression…..and yet….it did not stop the work of God. He conquered. And in Christ we can overcome in every situation the future holds for us. Our citizenship is in heaven. We’re just passing through and hoping to give glory to the One that gave us life!
9. Love God with all your heart and your neighbor as yourself! Share Christ

10. Micah 6:8
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you. But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” Amen

Prayer For 2014

December 31, 2013

As I stand before the coming year

I feel humbled as can be

Looking behind at the year gone by

I can see what you’ve done to me

Go deep not wide, our motto was

And surely you have done

A work within the hearts of us

Reflective of the Son

I only want to go further still

Upon the path You have laid

We are here but a moment’s time

To embrace the price You have paid

Help us Lord to know Your will

So time we will not waste

Let this be a productive year

So Your pleasure we may taste

Help us to please You in every way

Laying down our selfish life

Help us to flow unhindered and slow

And with care to do things aright

Go deep not wide again we will do

As if to dig a great well

So humanity will somehow be blessed by us

Because in Your Presence we dwell

Glory, glory all goes to your Son

Without you we can do naught

Help us to walk in a purposeful way

Just as Your good Book has taught

Help us to stand up against all the tides

That tell us to compromise

Stand firm as believers in truth plant our feet

Dispelling the enemies lies

So here I do bow down again at Your feet

Help me to stay there always

Humble in knowing that You’re in control

This year Lord, I give You my days

Our Need For A Savior

October 12, 2008

Our Need For A Savior

Romans 3:23 says for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

That is all of us. None of us is without sin. We have all done things that our consciences have told us not to do. Whether you have ever been to church or not. We have all violated that inner voice that tells us right from wrong.

In a way that is good news. Because salvation is not something we can earn or attain to. Not a position we can ascend to. It is a FREE gift. Purchased by Jesus Christ when he shed his blood on the cross. He alone as the Son of God lived a perfect life and could be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. And what love He had for us that He was willing to do that on our behalf.

John 3:16 says For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

WHOEVER believes. God does not discriminate. His gift is for us all. It is up to us to choose.

Romans 10: 9, 10 If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

That is just the beginning. A real relationship with Him is possible. An intimate place with Him for those who seek Him with all their hearts.

Prayer is simply talking to God. Nothing fancy. Here is an example of a salvation prayer:

God I believe you are real, I see your creation and something inside me tells me there is a reason you made me. I ask you to come into my heart, come into my life, come into my mind and show me who You are. I want to know you. I invite you to be my Lord and Savior. Help me to grow into a loving relationship with You. Help me to know Your ways. I want to enjoy getting to know you. I invite you to be a part of my life! Forgive my sins and give me a new start Speak to me and teach me to hear you.

Amen.

Simple just speak your heart anyway you like. He is Lord he also cares about all of your life and your joys and pains. He created you to be with Him a part of Him. Enjoy the journey my friend.

If I can help you in anyway let me know.
