LONGING HEART – POETRY
January 11, 2019
You are my bread, my life, my song
With you alone, does my heart belong
Deep within me calls to deep
Draw me close Lord, Your heart to meet
You are the great I AM
Take me Lord into Your hand
Mold me into Your heart of grace
Until I look and can see Your face
You are my bread, my life, my song
With you alone, does my heart belong
Deep within me calls to deep
Draw me close Lord, Your heart to meet
Breathing deeply, I feel You near
I will sit quietly, Your voice to hear
Waiting until the break of day
When I know what You’re saying, I will obey
You are my bread, my life, my song
With you alone, does my heart belong
Deep within me calls to deep
Draw me close Lord, Your heart to meet
Into Your image I will be drawn
Though the process painful, the days are long
I know that You have a plan for me
To be like Your Son, my heart set free
You are my bread, my life, my song
With you alone, does my heart belong
Deep within me calls to deep
Draw me close Lord, Your heart to meet

Deep Waters – Poetry and Thoughts
August 6, 2018
A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Sometimes those who have suffered the most, have the most to give.
2 Corinthians 1:3-5 “ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.
DEEP WATERS
Don’t be afraid of deep waters, my love
This journey’s been sent from heaven above
It is at Gethsemane you are purified
In ways you can’t see, so don’t try to hide
Lay it all bare, at the foot of the cross
Let His word cleanse you as you follow it’s path
Clinging to truth, let all else pass away
Let it burn up, it’s not meant to stay
Deep into the waters you go
Let Him enter in to the depths of your soul
Stirring up places where pain still remains
Let Him expose them and pour healing rain

Streams In The Desert
March 21, 2018
On that day, when evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s go across to the other side of the lake.” — Mark 4:35
Even when we go forth at Christ’s command, we need not expect to escape storms; for these disciples were going forth at Christ’s command, yet they encountered the fiercest storm and were in great danger of being overwhelmed, so that they cried out in their distress for Christ’s assistance.
Though Christ may delay His coming in our time of distress, it is only that our faith may be tried and strengthened, and that our prayers may be more intense, and that our desires for deliverance may be increased, so that when the deliverance does come we will appreciate it more fully.
Christ gave them a gentle rebuke, saying, “Where is your faith?” Why did you not shout victory in the very face of the storm, and say to the raging winds and rolling waves, “You can do no harm, for Christ, the mighty Savior is on board”?
It is much easier to trust when the sun is shining than when the storm is raging.
We never know how much real faith we have until it is put to the test in some fierce storm; and that is the reason why the Savior is on board.
If you are ever to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might, your strength will be born in some storm.
–Selected
“With Christ in the vessel,
I smile at the storm.”
Christ said, “Let us go to the other side”—not to the middle of the lake to be drowned.

A PLACE OF SAFETY – Poetry
October 30, 2017
There is a place called refuge
Not in this earthly realm
It is a place that we can dwell
With Jesus at the helm
Within that walk of confidence
We can walk away
From all the voices on the earth
That catch our breath away
So many things distract us
They are the enemy
But there is a Source that gives us life
Lord, open our eyes to see
What are you being robbed of?
Our Lord, His heart does bleed
He sees your woundedness child
And you He wants to be…
Safely in His sheepfold
Where He can keep you warm
Holding you close to His chest
Keeping you from harm
Why is it we can’t see Him
Think that He doesn’t care
We’ve bought the lies about Him
Think that He’s really not there
Now you don’t need a building
Or a pew to kneel down there
There is an alter in your heart
And He will meet you there
Don’t you know He’s waiting
He wants to draw you in
To that place of loving
Forgiving all your sin
He promises to cleanse you
Your past to throw away
You simply need to trust Him
And talk to Him today

OUR HELPER – Poetry
September 25, 2017
The anointing is an amazing thing
It can take a broken girl
And make her a queen
The Bride of Christ
The King of kings
He longs to lift her up and give to her His wings
Jump into the water
The streams of His love
He went back to heaven to send His Spirit dove
Dwelling inside us
Is where He longs to be
Comforting and guiding us to a place we can be free

I Need Something From Heaven – Poetry
February 5, 2017
I need something from heaven
A touch, a whisper, a sign
I know that faith believes unseen
But sometimes I find myself blind
Emotions they go on a roller coaster ride
That is not how You are
Every word you said is solid rock
An anchor and bright as a star
But You are so kind when my soul is weak
And the storm clouds are pounding hard
You reach out to me in a glorious way
To remind me that I’m in You’re heart
If I lift up my eyes
You will be there in ways that may be unseen
As I cry out and wait, You never fail
The mysteries are there to believe

COMFORTING WORDS
December 11, 2016
Isaiah 43: 1-3….. “Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned,
Nor shall the flame scorch you.
For I am the Lord your God,
The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;”
Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved.’
