WASHINGTON D.C. WILL GOD SPARE THE NATION- GIVE US MORE TIME?

I know many of us are worried about the coming election.  But I want to share something with you.   On Saturday, September 26th,  we went to Washington D. C.  To join a Day of Prayer and Repentance called “The Return” with Johnathan Cahn coordinating it.

It was just that.  Around 75,000 people stood and knelt on the ground weeping and repenting for the sins of the nation ,  listing many of them one by one.  Yes it took hours.  And it was awesome and so right.  The unity of the body of Christ and the Presence of God among us was palpable.  

It went from 9a.m. to 9p.m.  and it was not tiring at all, but life giving.  You could feel it.  This is what God has wanted us to do for a long time.  Another group was simultaneously doing a prayer walk around D.C. with Franklin Graham.   When it was over – I wondered.  Was this enough?  To stay the hand of judgement and procure from God’s hand a little more time to turn this nation around?  It would have only taken 10 righteous for God to spare Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 18).  Was this enough for a nation of 330 million?

Then a month later another group of mainly young people filled the national Mall again and worshipped and prayed for four hours and then walked all around praying and worshipping at different sites in D.C.   And we saw a victory with a pro life supreme court justice sworn in the next day.  That gives me hope.

Now another group of believers will gather and pray at the end of October.  People have been traveling from all over the United States to join in these gatherings.  And there were over 12 million joining online for ‘The Return”. Plus millions around the world joining  in livestream and praying for America.

Only God knows what He will do.  But for the first time in a long time,  I have hope that God may grant us more time for revival if we will continue and not stop after the election.  The church is out of the building and in part we need to keep it that way and not retreat into a mindset of  four walls and only individual programs.  

There needs to be unifying events like these.  A Body of Christ that will rise up and fight against the darkness and lawlessness of the age.  A Body that will pray and fast and seek His face until a great awakening and harvest of souls comes full throttle into our land.

It was so beautiful to be with believers of all walks of life.  The unity of purpose was incredible.  It felt like we were experiencing the answer to Jesus prayer in John 17:22.  when He prayed that we would be “one” as they are “One”.   I saw Amish, Baptist, Messianics, Pentecostals, and probably most denominations were represented among us.  All that was secondary – we were there for Jesus.  To do His will.  To cry out for our nation.  

I pray it continues and grows.  May God bless this land of ours and a harvest of souls come into the kingdom of God!

SECRETS MAKE THE DIFFERENCE IN SEEKING INTIMACY WITH GOD…

In my experience and opinion…..there’s nothing like a deed done in secret that only your Creator, heavenly Father, Lord and Savior sees…..in my 37 years of having a relationship with God…..nothing has brought me closer than a secret.

Matthew 6:6    “But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.”

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DEATH AND WILL WHAT I DO IN THIS LIFE MATTER IN ETERNITY?

We were all created spiritual and eternal beings. We have a body that will pass away….but we…our soul/spirit is eternal. The decisions we make in this life will determine what happens after we die. There are two choices according to the Words of our Creator.

1. We choose to accept God’s way to heaven and receive Jesus Christ His Son as our Lord and Savior by believing in what He did for us on the cross and following Him. Then at our death we will go to the judgement seat of Christ and on to heaven.

OR 2. We live after our selfish desires all our lives and end up at the Great White Throne Judgement that ends up with eternity in hell/ the lake of fire. Here are the scriptures.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

2 Corinthians 5: 9-10 “ Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”

The Great White Throne Judgment

The final judgment prior to the lost being cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:11-15   “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.  The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.  Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”

These things are very clear….but sadly so few are willing to talk about it. They are living with a 70 or 80 year perspective instead of a perspective of eternity. What we do here in this life affects the rest of our existence. There are no do overs after death. But there are thankfully do overs now…..there is nothing God can’t forgive and no situation that He cannot get you out of……Call on Him….ask for His help. Life is meant to be a sweet journey with our heavenly Father….learning, growing, laughing, crying….we are created to live with Him here and later in heaven. I pray you won’t miss out on the now. God has rewards for each time we obey Him. Lets “lay up treasures in heaven”

Matthew 6:19-20
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;  but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.”

It’s time to prepare beloved of God. It’s time to prepare yourselves for the days ahead. It’s time to train your spirit, soul, and body to be surrendered to God. It’s time to take a deeper step into obedience in everyday life. It’s time to be led by the Holy Spirit in all things. It’s time to wake up and say to the Lord….”what do you want me to do today” or get quiet and listen to see what He will say to you.

Romans 8:14 “ For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.”

It’s time to be spirit ruled and not flesh ruled.

Romans 8:13, “ For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.”

It’s time to surrender all and return to our first love, beloved remnant of God. It’s time to fast and pray and get so close to Jesus that He once again becomes our all in all as He was in the beginning.

Revelation 2:4-7 “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent. But this you have, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.”’

It’s a painful journey, if you are like me. I thought I was fine! Then the Lord said to me “You have an idol”. I was floored! “What!! I love you Lord…how could I have an idol?” He quickly said….”You have your children as an idol in your heart.” As soon as He said it, I knew. I had been mourning a tragedy that happened to my daughter. It occupied my thoughts night and day! And I was truly unaware of how much of my thought life was about that. I quickly surrendered it to the Lord and began a journey to find out what else I was blind to! And He graciously has taken my hand and is leading me into a place back to my first love and works and preparing me for beyond.

If you have had a calling on your life or suspect you do. Do not give up hope just because the country is falling apart and the hour is late. Dust off your hopes that God is great enough to complete that which He began in you long ago….or maybe recently for some.

Phillipians 1:6 “ being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;”
