A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

June 16, 2020

It is important to see things through the eyes of God, which can totally be found in the scripture if we read it for ourselves and ask His help to understand it.  Everything happening today was foretold by God.  Thousands of years in advance.  Because “ He knows the end from the beginning.”  He dwells outside of time.  That’s why it is so foolish for man to seek “mediums” and horoscopes and such to find “wisdom”  when God is Wisdom Himself.  He made everything and knows what it’s purpose is, and when it will come to an end.

The beauty is – that He has offered us through accepting what Jesus Christ did on the cross and accepting Him as our Lord – we are offered the promise of living in His kingdom – forever – where there are no more tears, pain, sorrow…..heaven.  And in the here and now – we will never be alone.  He will never leave us or forsake us.  Good promises to stand on.  Having faith is believing what He said – no matter what you see.

God will protect us in this crazy time or take us home to His house at our appointed time.

As for where we are now…..it’s all in the Book.  Don’t be afraid to look.

God will arise to judge the earth – but if we are in Him, in Christ – it will all be okay for us.

Here is an interesting scripture about God “shaking” the earth.  For us – it is so our reliance will be on Him.  But for the world and the enemy of humanity, the devil, Satan.  He gets his way for only a moment in time – and people decide who their allegiance will be to.  Then for Satan and all those that have chosen to follow his ways……it will end…..and not well.  Choose life.  God rules heaven and earth and yes, we will have to live by His ways…..because a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.  And heaven is undivided.

Isaiah 2:17-22

 The arrogance of man will be brought low    and human pride humbled;

the Lord alone will be exalted in that day,

and the idols will totally disappear.

People will flee to caves in the rocks

and to holes in the ground

from the fearful presence of the Lord

and the splendor of his majesty,

when he rises to shake the earth.

In that day people will throw away

to the moles and bats

their idols of silver and idols of gold,

which they made to worship.

They will flee to caverns in the rocks

and to the overhanging crags

from the fearful presence of the Lord

and the splendor of his majesty,

when he rises to shake the earth.

Stop trusting in mere humans,

who have but a breath in their nostrils.

Why hold them in esteem?

THE HOUR OF THE 10 VIRGINS – SHORTLY BEFORE THE RETURN OF CHRIST

THIS IS THE HOUR WHERE YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN OIL.

Read again this important parable that the Lord Himself gave to us concerning the days just prior to His return:

Matthew 25:1-13

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.  Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them,  but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.

“And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’  Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.  And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’  But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.

“Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’  But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’

“Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.”

Notice that Jesus said…..”I do not know you.”   These five foolish virgins had a lamp.  They were expecting the coming of the bridegroom.  They were hanging around the wise virgins.  But they did not have something the others did.  You see – NO ONE ELSE CAN GIVE YOU A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS!  They can lead you to it, tell you how to get one, instruct you how to have oil…..  but they can’t give you a relationship with the Master.  You have to get that all by yourself.  It is personal.  DON’T DELAY IN DEVELOPING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS IN PRAYER, TALKING TO HIM, AND STUDYING THE WORD.  MEDITATE ON IT.  PUT IT IN YOU. PRAY IN FAITH BELIEVING THAT HE HEARS YOU AND WILL PREPARE YOU.

For the wise virgins …..strengthen yourselves and realize that you cannot do this for others.  You need to stop enabling those around you by doing the spiritual work for them. Help them by praying for them and pointing them into a relationship development of their own.  If you do not they will drain your lamp of oil and wear you out.  God does not expect or desire you to do that.  Your eyes are to be on the coming bridegroom.  Instruct others – but continue to face the door of the coming of your Savior.

The hour is late.  Strengthen what remains.  Do not enable others to be lazy in their walk with God. You are big hearted people, but some have taken advantage of your love and grace just as they do to God.  Pray always for mercy on those God has placed in our lives,  but cast your care on God.  Pray that God will open their eyes to their own need to seek God with all Their Hearts!!!

Rest in God and stay vigilant in His Word and prayer.  You will need all the oil you’ve gotten, through relationship with Him, knowledge of His Word, and being filled with the Holy Spirt, and obedience…. to walk in these last days, overcome,  and give Him glory.  Remember:   “If God is for us who can be against us….”

It’s not too late to get things right between you and God.  Seek and you shall find.  Seek Him with all your heart, fill your heart and soul,  and let your light shine.

God bless and shalom
