WASHINGTON D.C. WILL GOD SPARE THE NATION- GIVE US MORE TIME?

I know many of us are worried about the coming election.  But I want to share something with you.   On Saturday, September 26th,  we went to Washington D. C.  To join a Day of Prayer and Repentance called “The Return” with Johnathan Cahn coordinating it.

It was just that.  Around 75,000 people stood and knelt on the ground weeping and repenting for the sins of the nation ,  listing many of them one by one.  Yes it took hours.  And it was awesome and so right.  The unity of the body of Christ and the Presence of God among us was palpable.  

It went from 9a.m. to 9p.m.  and it was not tiring at all, but life giving.  You could feel it.  This is what God has wanted us to do for a long time.  Another group was simultaneously doing a prayer walk around D.C. with Franklin Graham.   When it was over – I wondered.  Was this enough?  To stay the hand of judgement and procure from God’s hand a little more time to turn this nation around?  It would have only taken 10 righteous for God to spare Sodom and Gomorrah. (Genesis 18).  Was this enough for a nation of 330 million?

Then a month later another group of mainly young people filled the national Mall again and worshipped and prayed for four hours and then walked all around praying and worshipping at different sites in D.C.   And we saw a victory with a pro life supreme court justice sworn in the next day.  That gives me hope.

Now another group of believers will gather and pray at the end of October.  People have been traveling from all over the United States to join in these gatherings.  And there were over 12 million joining online for ‘The Return”. Plus millions around the world joining  in livestream and praying for America.

Only God knows what He will do.  But for the first time in a long time,  I have hope that God may grant us more time for revival if we will continue and not stop after the election.  The church is out of the building and in part we need to keep it that way and not retreat into a mindset of  four walls and only individual programs.  

There needs to be unifying events like these.  A Body of Christ that will rise up and fight against the darkness and lawlessness of the age.  A Body that will pray and fast and seek His face until a great awakening and harvest of souls comes full throttle into our land.

It was so beautiful to be with believers of all walks of life.  The unity of purpose was incredible.  It felt like we were experiencing the answer to Jesus prayer in John 17:22.  when He prayed that we would be “one” as they are “One”.   I saw Amish, Baptist, Messianics, Pentecostals, and probably most denominations were represented among us.  All that was secondary – we were there for Jesus.  To do His will.  To cry out for our nation.  

I pray it continues and grows.  May God bless this land of ours and a harvest of souls come into the kingdom of God!  

Why Might God Have Closed The Churches?

Maybe God allowed the churches to be shut – so that we could become “hot” in our private/personal relationships with Jesus. It is NOT good to be lukewarm. Many think they are not – but they are thinking about man’s definition of hot. God describes it as this…”they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of THEIR testimony for they loved not their lives even unto death” Rev. 2/3 America has been lukewarm for the most part. All of us can become “hotter” unashamed of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Caring less about what people think of us and more about pleasing the only One that is worthy of that kind of devotion. Can I get an Amen!

Revelation 3:15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.

How we need to sit

In sack cloth and ashes

Uncovering our sin

 

Sins of us all

From great to small

It matters to God

How our country did fall

 

Whether by silence

Or outright by sin

We’re in this together

Repentance can mend

 

Have we forgotten

What our forefathers bore

The wounds and the scars

So freedom could soar

 

And where are the churches

Calling it sin

Demanding an account

For deeds done within

 

Lawlessness reigns

Because we’ve sat back

Refusing to engage

Be on the attack

A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

A CALL TO ARMS

As I lay in bed early this morning and listened to the school bus go down the street in the pre-dawn hours, picking up neighborhood children……I thought about them, and about the events of yesterdays shooting in Las Vegas.

I thought about the following scripture and was stirred in my heart:

Ephesians 6:10-13 “ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.’

We live in a dark world. There is a battle going on that life tries to blind us to until something happens that jerks us back into “Kingdom realities”. We are called to fight. We have an enemy – a cruel one. (John 10:10 “. “ The thief (satan) does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” His whole purpose against humanity is destruction.

God has given us tools to battle with. Through the redemptive work of Christ, His truth and His Spirit – we can be victorious – though the battles can be fierce. (2 Corinthians 2:14
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ…)

The enemy constantly tries to lull us to sleep to these truths. Because he knows if we awaken to truth and our God given authority to pray in Jesus name….that he’s gonna lose ground and be defeated. I think he still believes he can win against Christ and judgement day will never come.

I was pricked in my heart about these kids and how that since my children are now grown…..I seldom think to pray for the schools and for protection and revival to break out there like I used to. God forgive me! And all of us, as we have not taken our place in praying for our neighborhoods, families, cities, states, and nations. At least not to the level that God desires from His sons and daughters. Wickedness has flourished in our nation and we have not battled it out enough in the spirit realm with the name of Jesus on our lips. He has given us authority to pray in His name and that is a powerful thing.

As I prayed this morning I felt to say it out loud. IT’S A CALL TO ARMS. I pray this will inspire you to join me in “doubling down” on our prayers for our fellow Americans and be aware of all the other assignments the Lord may lay on our hearts.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.  For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds…”

Cry out to God in prayer. Pray in Jesus name. Let this take priority over lesser things. This is a true war. Mark 4:23 “ If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”

So I truly believe that God is extending our time and giving us a reprieve.  As I stated before that God had given me a vision a few weeks ago of Jesus crying out to Our Father to extend the time for the millennials sake….for them to come in and live their destinies.  I don’t know what that means in years…..but in purpose and meaning it runs deep and can be a moment in time.   We love you and are praying for you and cheering your generation on!!!  With all my heart….I pray you find out from your Creator what you are here for…..you are unique…..you are one of a kind…..and Our Father has enough love for us all!!  Run your race…..this boomer is behind you!!!

I hope you will take a few minutes…..turn this up loud and get lost in the presence of Jesus…..there you will find your answers!!

Our Job Has Just Begun….May We Never Disengage From Our Prayers For This Nation Again…..May We Never Stop Heartfelt DAILY Prayers For This Government And Nation!!! May We Never Step Back From Our Involvement In Our Countries Affairs. It Matters!

1 Timothy ” Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,”

I pray that many good people will rise up and get involved in politics, civic activities, school boards, academia, arts and film….  on and on.  A Christian’s place is not just in the 4 walls of a church….we need to be in places of influence…..forces for good!    God bless you and God bless America!

Waiting in the wings
Are such glorious things
For those that love the Lord

You’ve been through the trials
And cried for a while
But the truth is you’ve sharpened your sword

Handcrafted we are
And shine like a star
The more we yeild to Him

We’re safe in His hands
In His master plan
Though it looks like we’re out on a limb

Though chaos may come
He sits on His throne
In His secret place we may dwell

LAST CALL – POETRY

Oh how this world
Has turned against God
They trample Him down
Underfoot they have trod

They mock His commandments
They spit in His face
Not only this country
But the whole human race

The hand that has made them
Has brought them so far
But they trade Him for gold things
For houses and cars

They hate His commandments
Set out to remove
Any rule of law
All justice they eschew

How long
Will His patient endurance remain?
How is it we don’t know
We can’t trample on His name?

Judgement and justice
Have not passed away
Consequences for sin
Are intact for this day

His grace won’t erase
For an unrepentant heart
Only those that are sorry
Turn from sin, from it depart

We can’t have it our own way
The Universe is His
We are His creation
We were born into this

He has made it so easy
His grace to receive
Paradise awaits us
For those who believe

Jesus paid the price
And a high price it was
To hang on a cross
For something He’s not done

Each has a choice
On which to be
He will separate the goats
From the sheep, all will see

Actions speak loudly
You cannot deceive
You may lie to the world
But with God it won’t be

Two thousand years
Is a long time for grace
Time to get ready
We will soon see His face

To the obedient such joy
To the rebellious such pain
The choice is your own
Which camp you’ll remain

One to damnation
