Deep Waters – Poem

November 16, 2019

DEEP WATERS

Don’t be afraid of deep waters, my love

This journey’s been sent from heaven above

It is at Gethsemane you are purified

In ways you can’t see, so don’t try to hide

Lay it all bare, at the foot of the cross

Let His word cleanse you as you follow it’s path

Clinging to truth, let all else pass away

Let it burn up, it’s not meant to stay

Deep, deep into the waters you go

Let Him enter in to the depths of your soul

Stirring up places where pain still remains

Let Him expose them and pour healing rain

Sometimes those who have suffered the most, have the most to give.

2 Corinthians 1:3-5     Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,  who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.  For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.

    Hi Jean,
my name is Alex Mwangi. I am a Kenyan who is born again. A friend sent me the YouTube link to the Swahili song titled “Wewe Ni Mkuu”. On the comments section, I saw your request for the lyrics and the English translation. I have done that for you. Here goes:

Lyrics Wewe Ni Mkuu by Mwanga Band

    Aaaaaaah ni Mkuu
    (Aaaaaaaa He’s above all)
    Aaaaaaah ni Mkuu
    (Aaaaaaaa He’s above all)
    Aaaaaaah ni Mkuu
    (Aaaaaaaa He’s above all)
    Aaaaaaah ni Mkuu
    (Aaaaaaaa He’s above all)

    Twakuinamia, twakuinamia Wewe ni Mkuu
(We bow before You, we bow before You, You’re above all)
    Twakuinamia, twakuinamia Wewe ni Mkuu
(We bow before You, we bow before You, You’re above all)
    Twakuinamia, twakuinamia Wewe ni Mkuu
(We bow before You, we bow before You, You’re above all)
    Twakuinamia, twakuinamia Wewe ni Mkuu
(We bow before You, we bow before You, You’re above all)

    Tunanyenyekea, tunanyenyekea Wewe ni Mkuu
(We humble ourselves before You, we humble ourselves before You, You’re above all)
    Tunanyenyekea, tunanyenyekea Wewe ni Mkuu
(We humble ourselves before You, we humble ourselves before You, You’re above all)
    Tunanyenyekea, tunanyenyekea Wewe ni Mkuu
(We humble ourselves before You, we humble ourselves before You, You’re above all)
    Tunanyenyekea, tunanyenyekea Wewe ni Mkuu
(We humble ourselves before You, we humble ourselves before You, You’re above all)

    Tunakuinua, tunakuinua Wewe ni Mkuu
(We lift You up, we lift You up, You’re above all)

(We bow before You, we bow before You, we bow before You, You above all)
    Twakuinamia, twakuinamia, twakuinamia, Wewe Mkuu
(We bow before You, we bow before You, we bow before You, You above all)

In case you need any lyrics translated into English from Swahili (because there is plenty of spiritually nourishing Swahili worship music, e.g. you should check out a lady known as Eunice Njeri. Her music is really powerful) please let me know. I’ll be happy to help out.

Thank you Alex for taking the time to send that to me in response to my inquiry! I love this song and even more knowing the English. It is an anointed song! God bless you for sending it to me!
