Searching For Me – My Destiny _Poetry
February 27, 2017
Destiny, destiny
You call my name
The answer’s not found
On this natural plane
A calling from heaven
But how can I hear
My spiritual ears
Are not sounding so clear
But wait there’s a Book
With His every thought
How my Creator, came to earth
And did talk
Maybe it’s in there
The place I should look
Instructions for life
In His very own book
There’s proverbs and psalms
And stories of men
That walked with our God
He openly talked to them
It shows their mistakes
And their successes too
How God communicates
To me and to you
He came down as man
So He could relate
Take all of our sin
On the Cross obliterate
All of the things
That stand in my way
Of knowing the God
That made me this way
He’s got the answer
I am unique
The book even shows
Through His word He still speaks
So help me now Lord
As I take a look
To find out my Destiny
Hidden in Your Holy Book.

More And More – Poetry
February 21, 2017
I get to know you
More and more
As I walk through time
Jesus is my open door
So many things
I thought I understood
But under clouds of darkness
My thinking hard as wood
So much more
O, Lord open up
The eyes of my understanding
Fill again my empty cup
So close, so near
I feel you in my heart
Whisper away my fears
Your words hit every mark
Open, open
O, God of the universe
The kingdom of heaven
Is the place of my new birth
I feel Your love arising
Lighting up my mind
Renewing every part of me
Didn’t know I was so blind
Our light is darkness
Compared to your infinite shine
And oh great God of the universe
How can you be so kind?
Kind and good and generous
To give us all we’ve got
Share with us your character
Hide your secret plot
Hidden treasures everywhere
If we would only look
Hidden treasures come alive
Inside your very book
Off the page and on the stage
Kingdom of God on earth
Now’s the time to enter in
And find out what you’re worth
Oh the price, the price He paid
He laid it on the line
Holding nothing back for us
He passed the test of all time
No love greater will ever be
Than what Jesus did for us
For now and all eternity
He gave His life for us
More and more and more, my Lord
Pour it out on me
The presence of the Trinity
That is our destiny!

He Thought You Were Worth It – Poetry
February 21, 2017
Slowly, with purpose
He walked through the streets
Each step He was taking
Your life He could see
Breathing in pain
Sores on His back
He suffered the shame
But His heart was intact
He knew that His mission
It must be fulfilled
There was no other way
Except Calvary’s hill
Looking at faces
His mind must have swirled
He kept the joy before Him
Of saving the world
Strong and determined
As His life blood poured out
He knew it was worth it
He ignored hell’s loud shout
As He hung on the cross
He gave out a cry
As He paid for our sins
Tears streamed from His eyes
Love kept Him there
We’ll never know
How bad was His suffering
The three days He was gone
Paying our penalty
As He hung on the cross
He knew what it took
To redeem all the lost
So now it’s our choice
To believe and receive
The beautiful gift
For which He did bleed

Seen and unseen – Poetry
February 17, 2017
It’s what I see I can’t believe
My senses they do lie
For tricks and treasons can occur
If I believe my eyes
I must be grounded on the Word
So I won’t blow around
Tossed and tussled by the wind
Of every doctrines sound
Help me anchor Lord, my soul
Be strong and settled in
The words you’ve said, your will revealed
So I can be fruitful again
Hell fights hard to knock us down
But in your realm I dwell
When I chose, my heart to believe
In your promises all will be well
It is a battle, that’s for sure
And many times we fall
Into the doubt brought all around
Until Your name we call
Like Peter on the water walked
Until he looked around
And saw the waves blow hard and tough
That he lost his faith, almost drowned
Yet Jesus being who He is
Love in the form of flesh
Reached down and rescued Peter there
And continued faith to teach
He doesn’t give up hope on us
But get up now we must
When we fall into doubts deep trap
Our Jesus will lift us up

2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
It is always difficult to keep our eyes on what God has said and not by what we see, hear, and feel. And yet….that is what we are called to do. May God help us this day to anchor ourselves on His promises, on His truth, and not be ruled by our emotions, but grounded on His will. Amen.
The Parable of the Tares Explained
February 16, 2017
Matthew 13:36-43 ” Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Romans 5: 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
You don’t have to be a tare…..if you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, repent of your sins (turn away from them with His help and power) and follow Him. He accepts you just as you are…..then the journey begins.
Romans 10:9-13 ….. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
HEAVEN’S KISS – Poetry
February 14, 2017
Repost for Valentine’s Day! You are loved! Happy day to you!
Across the starry night He calls
Laying out myriads of bright glowing balls
Singing His story the birds make their way
Flying in glory if only to say
Hello I love you
Can you hear Me call
I made all this for you
I gave you My all
Fields of bright flowers colored array
Bright sunshine’s dew drop painting the day
Smells so desirous catching your breath
Hoping you’ll look up and know I’ve not left
Cuddly fur balls of all different size
For you to enjoy and to tickle your eyes
Loving affection creation does show
I so want to show you all I do know
Hello I love you
Can you hear Me call
I made all this for you
I gave you My all
Saving the best, I sent you My Son
To show you my heartbeat, He and I are One
Was hoping you’d accept Him…

Spiritual Earthquake
February 10, 2017
Sometimes we all need an “earthquake” to shake up and out of us what God needs to go….and it’s a good, good thing! Just stay in His arms and trust Him! What remains will be of great value!
Hebrews 12:26-27
At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken—that is, created things—so that what cannot be shaken may remain.”
AGAIN, YOU WILL SHINE LIKE A SUMMER’S DAY – POETRY
February 8, 2017
Empty, empty your heart of it’s pain
Let the tears fall down like rain
They are a tool so long ago
Created with knowledge of how things would go
Again, you will shine like summer’s day
Your heart will light up, your smile like a ray
As your heart returns to where it belongs
To God’s arms alone where in Him there’s no harm
Come again, come again I’ll take you away
Again, we shall experience a brand new day
You know what that means, Yet this time a new
Cherished so rightly from a place made for you
I am yours and you are mine
We will be together til the end of time
Always there for you in our hiding place
That we have built while running this race
Come to me, come to me quickly you’ll see
How sadness eclipsed by life’s melody
You will sing greatly, your voice has it’s might
No longer to dwell in mistakes dark, dark night

Is God Really In Control? A Thought For the Day…
February 7, 2017
Everything that can be shaken will be shaken. Hebrews 12:27
“Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.”
There is a lot of shaking going on right now. We must always keep in mind that there is usually something behind what we see. Most of us will say out loud….God is in control. But do we really believe that?
For instance…..in the days of Jesus birth, there was a census called for by the government requiring that everyone return to their place of birth with his family members and register. Who could see anything good behind that? In fact, most felt it was so more accurate taxes could be collected. But little did anyone know until later that God Himself had orchestrated this seemingly unimportant event. Why?
There was a little prophesy about where the Messiah would be born found in Micah 5 and quoted in Matthew 2:6
‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah,
Are not the least among the rulers of Judah;
For out of you shall come a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people Israel.’
Jesus had to be born in Bethlehem according to the prophets. And He was. But can we look and see that God was behind these governmental twists and turns? God was in control.
Whether He is bringing blessing or judgement….God is in control. We may not understand or feel like He is….but He is.
Revelation 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Another example of this principle is the life of Joseph. He was given vivid dreams about his future and then it looked like all hell broke loose on him. He was betrayed by his brothers and thrown into a pit, sold into slavery, then falsely accused and put in prison. But all throughout this time God was grooming Joseph internally and externally to become the second most powerful ruler in the world and to save his nation and family from famine. In the end Joseph said:
Genesis 50:20
But as for you (his brothers) , you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
God was at work behind the scenes and so it still is today with those of us that follow Him. We must trust Him in these things. We have His promise also in Romans 8:28
“ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, and to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
We must always remember that His ways are higher than ours and we may not understand what is going on…..but
Isaiah 55:8-10
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
In this we can trust…..God is in control. Stay humble before Him and dare to trust.
Have a great day!
