WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DEATH AND WILL WHAT I DO IN THIS LIFE MATTER IN ETERNITY?

We were all created spiritual and eternal beings. We have a body that will pass away….but we…our soul/spirit is eternal. The decisions we make in this life will determine what happens after we die. There are two choices according to the Words of our Creator.

1. We choose to accept God’s way to heaven and receive Jesus Christ His Son as our Lord and Savior by believing in what He did for us on the cross and following Him. Then at our death we will go to the judgement seat of Christ and on to heaven.

OR 2. We live after our selfish desires all our lives and end up at the Great White Throne Judgement that ends up with eternity in hell/ the lake of fire. Here are the scriptures.

The Judgment Seat of Christ

2 Corinthians 5: 9-10 “ Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him.  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”

The Great White Throne Judgment

The final judgment prior to the lost being cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:11-15   “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.  And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.  The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.  Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.”

These things are very clear….but sadly so few are willing to talk about it. They are living with a 70 or 80 year perspective instead of a perspective of eternity. What we do here in this life affects the rest of our existence. There are no do overs after death. But there are thankfully do overs now…..there is nothing God can’t forgive and no situation that He cannot get you out of……Call on Him….ask for His help. Life is meant to be a sweet journey with our heavenly Father….learning, growing, laughing, crying….we are created to live with Him here and later in heaven. I pray you won’t miss out on the now. God has rewards for each time we obey Him. Lets “lay up treasures in heaven”

Matthew 6:19-20
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;  but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.”

LOVE FOR OUR MILLENNIALS – Poetry

I wish that I could reach out and touch
The wounds in your heart
Go back and change all the bad times

I wish that I could erase all the tragedies
And touch all the places that your soul still bleeds

I wish I could take you where comfort surrounds
Where safety is all that there is

I wish I could undo the memories
That haunt you at night all the time

I can’t do that… but please know with all of my heart
I would, if I could, but there’s hope

Jesus knew all the choices we’d make
All the things that would still come our way

That things would go wrong, the tragedy of our song
But He knew His love was still greater

All I can say, at the end of the day
Is that He is the answer still

His love goes so deep, it’s you He will keep
Trust Him, to you He belongs

Freedom To Be Loved

FREEDOM TO BE LOVED

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

First you need to become a child of God. We are all God’s creation, but the Father sent Jesus to bring us into a better place with a new covenant… what Jesus did made it possible for us to become born again sons and daughters of God…..He explains it here:

The New Birth

John 3:1-8  “There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’  The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

That’s not too hard to understand……that which is born of flesh is flesh…..that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Our spirits are the part of us that needs to become “born again” through believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and His work on the cross as being powerful enough to pay for and erase our sins. Jesus put His blood on the mercy seat…..allowing for us to be clean through believing in Him and asking for Him to forgive us for our sins.

Then that is where we begin a new life with Him. We each have a journey….a plan dreamed up by a loving God. He has set it up that He desires for us to choose it…to choose Him and trust Him. He doesn’t want robots.

There is a path He leads us on……a path of safety and relationship. That’s what He wants. That is what we are made for….to be His family. I pray that today you will open up to Him and trust that He is good.

A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

See past the darkness of the hour….a candle is not afraid of the dark! That is where it shines the brightest. What does Jesus say?

“Jesus said, “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest” (John 4:35-36)!

There will be a great end time harvest…..I pray we all choose to be a part! Partner with what God is doing in the earth. Agree with righteousness, holiness, love, and peace as given through the Holy Spirit by Jesus Christ! This can be our finest hour! Is God calling you into public service? Don’t doubt this. All servants of God do not stand in a pulpit….but God does have places of leadership for those that walk coherently with His Kingdom purposes.

We all as the body of Christ need to pray daily for “HIs kingdom to come…His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Amen   I pray God stirs our hearts and guides us to our part in HIs end time purposes. And He has one for each and every one of us….we were born for such a time as this! (even a Girl Scout leader can impact a generation for good)    Be willing to think outside of the church and outside of the box to impact our world….may we engage the culture….not withdraw from it!   Love to you all!

So I truly believe that God is extending our time and giving us a reprieve.  As I stated before that God had given me a vision a few weeks ago of Jesus crying out to Our Father to extend the time for the millennials sake….for them to come in and live their destinies.  I don’t know what that means in years…..but in purpose and meaning it runs deep and can be a moment in time.   We love you and are praying for you and cheering your generation on!!!  With all my heart….I pray you find out from your Creator what you are here for…..you are unique…..you are one of a kind…..and Our Father has enough love for us all!!  Run your race…..this boomer is behind you!!!

I hope you will take a few minutes…..turn this up loud and get lost in the presence of Jesus…..there you will find your answers!!

Thank you Lord for another day!

Our Job Has Just Begun….May We Never Disengage From Our Prayers For This Nation Again…..May We Never Stop Heartfelt DAILY Prayers For This Government And Nation!!! May We Never Step Back From Our Involvement In Our Countries Affairs. It Matters!

1 Timothy ” Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men,
for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,”

I pray that many good people will rise up and get involved in politics, civic activities, school boards, academia, arts and film….  on and on.  A Christian’s place is not just in the 4 walls of a church….we need to be in places of influence…..forces for good!    God bless you and God bless America!

HE THOUGHT YOU WERE WORTH IT – POETRY

Slowly, with purpose
He walked through the streets
Each step He was taking
Your life He could see

Breathing in pain
Sores on His back
He suffered the shame
But His heart was intact

He knew that His mission
It must be fulfilled
There was no other way
Except Calvary’s hill

Looking at faces
His mind must have swirled
He kept the joy before Him
Of saving the world

Strong and determined
As His life blood poured out
He knew it was worth it
He ignored hell’s loud shout

As He hung on the cross
He gave out a cry
As He paid for our sins
Tears streamed from His eyes

Love kept Him there
We’ll never know
How bad was His suffering
The three days He was gone

Paying our penalty
As He hung on the cross
He knew what it took
To redeem all the lost

So now it’s our choice
To believe and receive
The beautiful gift
For which He did bleed

PATH FOR THE HUMBLE – Poetry

There is a ditch on the side of the road
And one on the other side too
Neither one is a good place to be
But most people have not a clue

The nature of blindness is nobody sees
The error of their own chosen way
To only the humble, can it be revealed
To hear the Lords straightening voice say

He can see clearly from way up above
The path for each one of us
He knows the way, for all things He’s made
His Word is a map we can trust

The map must be read through eyes of His love
The Master we must know
Only in this way can we hope to see
The path made for us best to go
