TUG OF WAR
October 31, 2016
Oh Lover of my soul I cry
I need you closely standing by
Raging chaos can be found
Just by rising, feet on the ground
In my sleep the comforts reign
I can hear You call my name
Beckoning me to come to You
Such desire to see me through
Such confusion waits to pounce
On my soul to pull me out
Of the place abiding there
Where peace surrounds me, loving care
Light and darkness, always war
Try to hurt me to the core
But You teach me to return
To overcome, Your ways to learn
You hate my enemies oh Lord
You teach me how to pick up the sword
Sword of truth declaring loud
Tearing down deceptions shroud
Oh this life it is a dance
I’ve chosen You, my pure romance
Jealous is our enemy
Though he tries he can’t have me
Over and over and over again
I choose You Lord, my love I give
And You keep me in your palm
Rescuing me all the day long

STAYING CLOSE – ABIDING

The Boulder Jumper
October 30, 2016
A short story by my hubby! Enjoy!
It was a sunny day on the drive back from Santa Maria, California. I had been visiting with my kids. It was always hard leaving them. We never seemed to have enough time together, but I was learning to cope with it.
I found a little hideaway where I would often stop and take a break from the drive. There is a park south of Santa Barbara across the freeway from the Big Yellow House Restaurant. It was a nice little spot. The park was nestled high above the beach overlooking the ocean. You could see almost a hundred miles in either direction. After sunset, the oil platform lights looked like diamonds set in black velvet water. The sun sparkled through palm leaves and sage brush that shrouded the long inclined path to the beach.
When I reached the beach, I was surprised to see hundreds of large boulders all…

THE CANDLE OF MY LIFE
October 30, 2016
In a dark and lonely room
With a fire in my heart
I close my eyes and think of You
With unquenchable hunger
I call out to You
You are the union I crave
One taste of Your love
One drink of Your soul
My quest will last forever
Though clouded by flesh
Surrounded by worldliness
Like a flower buried beneath the snow
The enemy rages to rip us apart
Moments are stolen, some slip away
But light always returns
And melts away the baracade that tries to keep us apart
And that thing deep inside
First contact never dies
It twists and turns and cries out to survive
With conquering force
Breaks down all the lies
And sets free the heart , the love and the cries
The candle inside -the Love of my life
So much more than a Savior
His essence abides
Jesus, Jesus
Love of my life
May Your heart know how I hunger for You tonight

AWAITING WINTER
October 30, 2016
Snowflakes falling
Silent sounds
Gentle softness
Hits the ground
Quietly
The world becomes
As the blanket
Covers homes
White so clean
We can forget
In that moment
No regrets
Hanging like suspended time
Snowflakes bring a special mind
Times of childhood sledding round
Adult worries can’t be found
Falling like a gift of love
Moments gentle like a dove
Glistening in the sun’s bright light
No more fears the dark of night
Snowflakes like renewing rain
Bring their own refreshing gain
Each one falls unique in time
Like a heavenly artistic rhyme
Snowflakes falling
Silent sounds
Can’t wait ’til winter
Comes around

DON’T HIDE YOUR GIFT
October 28, 2016
My dear friend I have a word
Especially for you
You have a purpose and a plan
I want to see you through
There is a gift inside of you
That others seem to know
And jealousy within them
Wants for you to go
But here I stand to cheer you on
It happens to us all
Don’t let the plans against you
Cause you to stop and fall
See it clearly for what it is
A plan to make you stop
Your gifting it comes from the Lord
Of course they’ll try to block
But if you raise up as you should
The truth will shine through you
A chance that they will get the truth
And see God loves them too
I pray a grit down in your soul
Will make you get so strong
That nothing else can stop you
You’ll stand where you belong
We need for all believers
To stand and take their place
The darkness getting deeper
We must all run the race
That thing that is inside you
Please choose not to ignore
The pleasure that awaits you
Is knocking at your door
I know it is quite scary
To go against the tide
But know that it’s your life not theirs
Don’t run away and hide
Seek the Master – know His will
From this you must not hide
There’s something He has put in you
Don’t bury it inside

HEAVEN’S KISS – Poetry
October 27, 2016
Across the starry night He calls
Laying out myriads of bright glowing balls
Singing His story the birds make their way
Flying in glory if only to say
Hello I love you
Can you hear Me call
I made all this for you
I gave you My all
Fields of bright flowers colored array
Bright sunshine’s dew drop painting the day
Smells so desirous catching your breath
Hoping you’ll look up and know I’ve not left
Cuddly fur balls of all different size
For you to enjoy and to tickle your eyes
Loving affection creation does show
I so want to show you all I do know
Hello I love you
Can you hear Me call
I made all this for you
I gave you My all
Saving the best, I sent you My Son
To show you my heartbeat, He and I are One
Was hoping you’d accept Him there’s no other way
I made Him the door so you could come to Me and stay
Hello I love you
Won’t you walk through the door
Jesus is waiting
And there’s so much more.

John 6:36-38
“But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.”
ALL OF OUR TEARS COLLECTED IN LOVE
October 27, 2016
Tenderness
Cocooning all around
A life with much pain
Will receive such a crown
All of the tears
Collected in love
Gentleness sees
Observes from above
All of the days
You thought you were alone
Never a moment
Just a breath from His throne
Tender loving Father
I wish we could see
Unravel the layers
Of seeming debris
Things we’ve considered
Of little report
Are the things heaven sees
Receives great reward
Small acts of kindness
Trickles of love
Never forgotten
Peace like a dove
Acts of forgiveness
In the face of such hate
Makes the Father smile
You’re a champion at the gate

Psalm 56:8,9
“You number my wanderings;
Put my tears into Your bottle;
Are they not in Your book?
When I cry out to You,
Then my enemies will turn back;
This I know, because God is for me.
A PLACE OF SAFETY – Poetry
October 27, 2016
There is a place called refuge
Not in this earthly realm
But it is a place that we can dwell
With Jesus at the helm
Within that walk of confidence
We can walk away
From all the voices on the earth
That catch our breath away
So many things distract us
They are the enemy
Of the Source that gives us life
Lord, open our eyes to see
What are you being robbed of?
Our Lord, His heart does bleed
He sees your woundedness child
And you He wants to be…
Safely in His sheepfold
Where He can keep you warm
Holding you close to His chest
Keeping you from harm
Why is it we can’t see Him
Think that He doesn’t care
We’ve bought the lies about Him
Think that He’s really not there
Now you don’t need a building
Or a pew to kneel down there
There is an alter in your heart
And He will meet you there
Don’t you know He’s waiting
He wants to draw you in
To that place of loving
Forgiving all your sin
He promises to cleanse you
Your past to throw away
You simply need to trust Him
And talk to Him today

A NEW TIMELINE – Poetry
October 27, 2016
Do you need a word today
To catch you when you start to sway
A word that says that you are loved
With someone watching from above
To know that you are not alone
And if you choose you’ll have a home
The Lord has paved the way for you
If you just choose to walk on through
His blood is on the mercy seat
To wash you clean if you receive
This life we have – not all there is
Beyond the veil we’ll live with Him
Don’t put it off, now is the time
Open up to a new timeline
This earthly life’s not all we have
So don’t despair and don’t get mad
Focus on eternal things
It’s thoughts like these that give you wings
