How deep is God’s love for us? Words like passionate and jealous are rarely connected with God….but indeed…He uses these words to describe Himself.
Exodus 20:3-6 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
“You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.”
This is why the One World False Religion the pope is propogating is so horrific in God’s eyes. God is jealous for us and will not share our affections…

Jesus Christ and Mohammed are not equals. Buddha did not raise from the dead. Cali is the goddess of destruction – not life. NO one died for our sins but JESUS CHRIST. To be a Christian is to be a follower of Jesus Christ and His teachings. The greatest deception I have ever witnessed is taking place now with the pope leading the way. Please don’t fall for this!!!! It is full of warm fuzzies and it is true that we love all peoples….but there is only one way to heaven provided for mankind…..the way of the cross…Jesus Christ.

A TRIBUTE TO AUNT FRANCES….MAY WE ALL HAVE HER COURAGE IN THIS HOUR
My thirteenth year of life was pretty remarkable. I know the Bible talks about the “age of accountability” and maybe that was it for me. All I know is there was such a war for my soul and for my life that year.
I was in Junior High and life was changing fast. Hormones, boys, new temptations and all that comes with growing up. I am thankful that I had two aunts that I later learned prayed for me on a regular basis. One was my Aunt Frances and the other Aunt Dot. They both loved the Lord and had a relationship with Him. I was their youngest niece and they took a loving interest in my life. I had allies on my side!

A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”
So what is the difference between those that call Him Lord and those that follow Him as Lord?
Matthew 7: 23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
The key statement is “practice lawlessness,” simply put, one who is lawless doesn’t adhere to the authority of God’s Word. These men and women don’t periodically stumble; rather, they habitually ignore, neglect, or disobey God’s Word.
“When we obey God, we are sure that we know him. But if we claim to know Him and don’t obey Him, we are lying and the truth isn’t in our hearts.” (1 John 2:3,4)

Wishing you all a faith filled and Happy New Year!! I read this today and wanted to share it. Oh how much I needed to hear this….maybe you too!
Excerpt from the Streams in the Desert Devotional for today.

You will never learn faith in comfortable surroundings. God gives us the promises in a quiet hour; God seals our covenants with great and gracious words, then He steps back and waits to see how much we believe; then He lets the tempter come, and the test seems to contradict all that He has spoken. It is then that faith wins its crown. That is the time to look up through the storm, and among the trembling, frightened seamen cry, “I believe God that it shall be even as it was told me.”
Believe and trust; through stars and suns,
Through life and death, through soul and sense,
His wise, paternal purpose runs;
The darkenss of His Providence
Is starlit with Divine intents”
