When it all comes down….the question we all have to answer is…..”What did I do with Jesus?”

Romans 14:11,12 ” For it is written:
“As I live, says the Lord,
Every knee shall bow to Me,
And every tongue shall confess to God.”
So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”

The greatest gift of all time and eternity…..May God grant us grace to live a life that brings us close to Him and gives Him glory! He is greatly worthy…..all else will pass away. There is no greater goal on earth than to pursue Jesus Christ. May the rememberance of God’s gift to us of His Son and His sacrifice penetrate our lives in the deepest way possible this Christmas! Much love!!

Hang in there! It’s gonna be okay! Even if nothing turned out like you wanted it to or thought it would….don’t give up. Even if you know you have made a mistake and there’s no turning back…don’t give up.

You see God can handle our mistakes and disappointments. He makes us some pretty awesome promises. For one example He said “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”(Hebrews 13:5) Not even if it was your fault that you are in the position you are in. God wants us to look up. Look to Him. As our GPS would say when we take a wrong turn “re-calculating”! God can still get us where He wants us if we seek Him out, admit we were wrong and humble ourselves by asking for His help!. Again, another great promise… “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up” (James 4:10)

God is greater than our mistakes, wrong turns, and just plain ole life that doesn’t go as we think it should. He is above it all and can take it all and mold it, shape it, into something valuable and good if we trust Him to.

I’ll end with another great promise:

Romans 8:28
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

Believe He can get you through with flying colors. In His hands….it’s gonna be okay. Have a great day!

“Guard your heart, for out of it flow the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23

Having disciplined thoughts is of great importance. The mind is the gateway to the soul. We must control the gate. Be careful what and who you let in. Be a gatekeeper. All the day we are assaulted with thoughts. Many go unnoticed, and yet affect us in ways that are quite powerful. The Lord gives us these words through the Apostle Paul:

2 Corinthians 10:5  “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

These days we live in are grieving to the Lord and our own souls. Only through the power of the Holy Spirit can we live as God has called us to. Only through His help can we do this and yet….it is God that decided that you and I should be born in this time and in this place. He has given us all we need to overcome. He loves to see us overcome!! Never be condemned in the struggle. If we are truly resisting ….He will give us the grace to defeat the enemies of our souls. He loves us and delights when we want to live a holy life before Him. In Christ we shall overcome!

Here is a great prayer from the Psalms:

Psalm 19:14  “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my Redeemer.”

People come and people go….but our trust must be in the Lord. It is easy and natural to hang our hopes on those around us. On friends and family; but only the Lord is capable of never leaving us or forsaking us. Only Christ can be a solid Rock in a chaotic storm. King David puts it well in the following Psalm.

Psalm 146:3-6
Do not put your trust in princes,
Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
His spirit departs, he returns to his earth;
In that very day his plans perish.
HAPPY is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God,
Who made heaven and earth,
The sea, and all that is in them;
Who keeps truth forever,”

Dear Lord, Help us settle our hearts and hopes on You ; who alone can keep us. You are always there and we are grateful for Your faithfulness to us. Thank You that you have us in the palm of Your hand and help us to walk in Your ways. Amen
