A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
There are so many emotions running so high these days. It has broken my heart to see a nation and a people “spit in the face of God” and basically say “screw You and Your ways” to the One who was slain for them on the cross. And I guess they are doing what blinded sinners do and I hurt for their choices because I know the consequences that come if they don’t repent, the Bible is crystal clear on that. But what hurts the most are those that call themselves “Christians” and think that it is “love” to cheer them on in their sin. Seriously? You are going to stand by and pat them on the back and say “proud” of you, all the while knowing what the Bible says and that they will be condemned to hell for all eternity? Or do you really not believe the Bible yourself? You must know that you have joined them in spitting in God’s eye. Now I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and believe that maybe you have not thought this through. I love you and I have at times lived a compromised life too because I did not understand the scriptures and did not understand how serious the matters of God and eternity were. I have been a lukewarm Christian too. I battle this as I am sure all of us do. It is easier to be lukewarm and not make any waves. But I think we all have to grow up and come to the point that we love people enough to warn them of the consequences of their choices or in truth we are caring more about our own popularity and acceptance of people than we are caring about God’s opinion. God help us. So for those that may honestly not understand what the Bible teaches about homosexuality and other “sins unto death” here are some references below. Remember Love Rescues…..it does not stay quiet and is willing to be persecuted in the face of evil. It is willing to lay down it’s life for others…..not to condone their behavior, but to warn them of the dangers of it! I don’t blame anyone…..we have not understood the scriptures correctly and have assumed that emotion is our guide. Lord help us to return to Your Word, and Your Ways. We all sin….and that is not what the problem is…the gospel is an awesome gift of being able to come to God and say ‘I’m sorry” and have our slate wiped clean and have Him help us to resist the sin that entangles us……It is a lifestyle of willful habitual sin that will take us to hell if not repented of. There are so many scriptures about “the sons of disobedience”. I pray that we will all get our Bibles out and study them with new eyes. We have a part to play. True love warns and rescues….it does not sit by and stay silent while those around fall off a cliff….. So don’t take my word for it…..here are HIS
Romans 1:16-32 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”
We have time to get things right….God has certainly convicted me of areas of compromise and I don’t look forward to dealing with them….but it must be done…..pleasing Jesus is worth everything we have to lay down and change! Amen?!
Hidden Tears

Oh how it hurts
When your eyes can see
Places of darkness
That we need to flee
Knowing the loss
It’s a dear memory
Knowing the cost
The price to be free
The greatest decision
I made in my life
Was to trust the Almighty
And walk towards the Light
Oh how awesome it’s been
For these thirty years
To find hidden treasure
And share hidden tears
To be friends with Creator
Is worth what it cost
This world is all passing
It will soon all be lost

A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Is there a benefit to being “forewarned” about things? Did Jesus forewarn his disciples and us about things?
The answer is yes on both counts. What is the benefit of being forewarned about something? If you think about it, if you knew ahead of time that someone was coming to your house, you would clean up, pick up some snacks and get ready, right? Then you would be at peace when that doorbell rang.
For me one of the greatest benefits of being forewarned is that it keeps you stable when it comes.
Many, many times we see in the Bible of people being forewarned of things in a dream. Joseph (Mary’s husband) was forewarned about Herod. Joseph in the old testament was forewarned about famine in a dream and given a chance to prepare Egypt for the coming years.
Jesus forewarned all the time. He told his disciples that He would be crucified ahead of time. He told Peter how he would die decades in advance. He told all of us what the last days would be like in Matthew chaper 24 and the whole book of Revelation was given to us for what? It’s an area we tend to shy away from because we have never been taught that it is good that God warns us because of His love for us. It is a “good” thing to know even if the news is not so good. It stabilizes our souls.
Forewarning brings the chance to settle things in your heart and be at peace during the main event. The whole Bible is filled with prohecies concerning coming events. Many of which we have seen come to pass….like the scattering and rebirth of Israel….foretold thousands of years in advance. Many good things to like His second coming and what heaven is like.
So is it a good thing to be foretold about things? Often I think of the time before my mother died. I knew it was going to happen, and actually about 2 months before she passed away, I mourned and settled my soul. Then when the event actually happened, I was past my own hurt and able to comfort my other family members and be strong.
I think it is good to be aware and to be foretold, ready, and strong, so we can be a blessing to others.
The other option is to be caught off guard, unprepared, and traumatized. So I guess we each get to choose. As for me….I want to know. He who has ears to hear, let him hear….
Who was God’s choice to be the earthly father of Jesus and the husband of His mother? It was Joseph! So it would be a logical conclusion that Almighty God would have chosen, indeed handmade, the very best for them, right?
So what is so special about Joseph? What were his character traits?
Let’s look at Matthew 2:13-15 “ Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”
We can gather much about Joseph from this tiny portion of scripture…..
1. PROTECTOR He had great protective instincts and understood his place in this.
2. OBEDIENT TO GOD He did exactly what God said. No debates or questions.
3. CLOSE TO GOD He definitely had a relationship with God and was close enough with Him to recognize His voice.
4. FEARED GOD MORE THAN MAN We see earlier in Matthew 1:20, that when Mary was found pregnant without having been with a man. He listened to God and took the heat I am sure the community “gossipers” put out.
5. COURAGE Goes along with fearing God much more than man. He trusted God.
6. PATIENT AND WISE Joseph waited until Herods death before bringing his family back to Israel, and even then, he sought the Lord at every step.
So often we are not taught to look for character traits when looking for “the one”.
So what should you do while waiting for your Joseph? BECOME LIKE MARY!! Haha Study that one out…..humble, pure, obedient to God, loving God….
Good things to look at…. Just a thought.
When A Nation Is Given Over To Sin
June 8, 2015
Head bowed
Tears fall down
I can hear
Great tyrannies sound
Marching at
The speed of snow
Falling quietly
The people don’t know
One freedom here
One freedom there
Slipping away
But people don’t care
Too caught up
In their daily needs
Caring for self
While liberty bleeds
Forces are strong
To bring this around
Stealthily putting
Troops on the ground
“Can’t happen to us”
Denial cries
They choose to believe
The government lies
Corruption is strong
Deception in place
Brainwashing people
To accept a small space
“For the greater good”
The liars do cry
Lusting for power
Camera’s that spy
It will be
As it’s always been
Evil will triumph
In the face of our sin
Until we cry out
On our knees do fall
Lifting our eyes
Towards heaven we call
Liberty comes
From the hand of God
We must turn to Him
Or with poverty be shod

A THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The Model Prayer
“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
As we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
I was thinking this morning about the Lord’s prayer. It’s something that probably most of us have memorized at some point and it flows nicely off the tongue. But I think to actually practice it is anything but easy. The core of our human flesh wants to be in control. If we’re honest, two of the hardest things for us is “surrendering and trusting”.
We want quick fixes and we want it now! With God there is an element of “waiting” that goes against all of our modern culture of today in this instant society we live in. But to truly pray “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven” demands a waiting to find out His will, surrendering to what it is (sometimes hearing “no”) and a trusting that His ways are higher than ours and that He may have an answer and solution that is so far greater than what we imagined. I don’t know about you, but I want to go deeper and experience a whole new level of this most perfect prayer.
God bless you and hope you have a great and growing day!

The Tears Of Heaven
June 3, 2015
Are you misreading
The signs of the times?
Skipping along
To your rhythm and rhymes
Missing the messages
Heaven speaks loud
Refusing to listen
Following the crowd
Oh how He weeps
Because you don’t care
Ignoring the consequences
Your actions will bear
Thinking the sun
Will be shining all day
Assuming continuance
With sin you do play
Believing that all things
Never shall change
Living in denial
Isn’t life such a game
But judgement will come
It comes to us all
What was done in secret
Will be written on the wall
Don’t wait for the others
Around you to change
Humble yourself
With heaven to gain
Turn your heart heavenward
This is your life
Take control of your destiny
Come out of the night
There He is waiting
The King of all kings
To openly embrace you
Set upon you His name
The dance that will follow
Nothing can…

A Thought For The Day
June 3, 2015
A word about the antichrist and God’s Truth. As so well written in the scriptures below….
2 Thessalonians 2:9-14 “This man of sin will come as Satan’s tool, full of satanic power, and will trick everyone with strange demonstrations, and will do great miracles. He will completely fool those who are on their way to hell because they have said no to the Truth; they have refused to believe it and love it and let it save them, so God will allow them to believe lies with all their hearts, and all of them will be justly judged for believing falsehood, refusing the Truth, and enjoying their sins.
But we must forever give thanks to God for you, our brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose from the very first to give you salvation, cleansing you by the work of the Holy Spirit and by your trusting in the Truth. Through us He told you the Good News. Through us he called you to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
How important it is to love God’s word, embrace it, seek to understand it, and know that by it we can be set free from all the worlds entanglements and deceptions.
John 8:31-32 “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
