FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT

My heart, my heart
Is to obey
Though sometimes I miss it
And seem to delay

But Father is patient
And always sees
What’s in our hearts
A desire to please

There’s so much against us
Living in this skin
Satan parades things
To turn us from Him

Day in and day out
We suffer this war
If we ever forget it
The enemy scores

But time here is temporary
So we must battle on
Fight the good fight
Let God make us strong

Give us great wisdom
To the Lord may we cry
Try to be like Him
Our tears let Him dry

Oh such great love
To be given away
Lord show us Your precepts
Help us walk in Your way

Our God, how we love You
Grant us clear sight
That we can overcome
In this time of dark night
